Money
Shards are not the same as DonutSMP Money. Players search “donutsmp shards” because spawners and the old shard shop used this currency. Here is the practical picture after the June 2026 /shop changes, without inventing live earn rates.

On DonutSMP, shards are a progression currency separate from the Money balance you see with /bal. Money pays players and the Auction House. Shards historically fed a dedicated shop for progression items, especially early spawners.
Open /shards in-game for your current balance and any UI the server still shows. Older guides also talk about a shard shop reached through /shop. That shop path was tied to the broader /shop removal in June 2026: see /shop removed. Confirm on the live server what still costs shards today.

A widely remembered milestone was roughly 1500 shards for a first spawner through the old shard shop. That number is historical context, not a live price guarantee. Spawner types and costs can change; check in-game menus and official patch notes rather than copying outdated rate tables.
We do not sell spawners. Spawner deals stay in-game (shards where available, or player trades). Longer context: DonutSMP spawners and the honest buy page /buy-donutsmp-spawners.

Older community posts describe AFK or per-minute shard paths. We do not invent current shard earn rates. After the June 2026 shop update, the old AFK-per-minute path may be gone or heavily changed. Prefer the official wiki tone and what the live client shows over third-party tables that may predate the patch.
If your goal is liquid Money instead of shard farming, use in-game markets or checkout here. Grind paths: how to make money on DonutSMP. Buy path: buy DonutSMP money at $0.10 per 1M (RMT risk; we do not claim it is allowed).
