Crates are a real DonutSMP feature, not a blog invention. Players buy or earn crate keys, open crates for cosmetics and season rewards, and sometimes confuse that loop with liquid Money. This page explains where keys come from and what this exchange does not sell.
Where crate keys come from
The official DonutSMP store sells ranks, crate keys, and Amethyst-style items. That is the primary cash shop for cosmetics and keys. In-game, older seasons also sold some keys through the shard shop reached via /shop. That shop path was tied to the broader June 2026 /shop removal: confirm what still costs shards live. Context: /shop removed and shards.
We do not invent open rates, jackpot tables, or “best crate” math. Open the crate UI in-game for the live reward preview.
Crates vs Money
Crate cosmetics do not replace the player economy. Buying gear, filling /orders, and listing on /ah still need Money (coins). Higher-level picture: DonutSMP economy. Auction House walkthrough: /ah guide.
DonutSMP Exchange does not sell crate keys. The catalog is DonutSMP money only, at $0.10 per 1M from 30M. If your goal is liquid currency for markets, use /buy-donutsmp-money. Official staff can punish RMT; we do not claim it is allowed.

Yes. Crate keys and related cosmetics are part of the official server store lineup. Historically, some keys were also reachable through the shard shop before the June 2026 /shop changes.
No. DonutSMP Exchange sells DonutSMP money only (from $0.07 per 1M). Buy keys on the official store or earn them in-game where the season still allows.
