Item guide · Updated
Flight changes how the server feels after spawn vanished. This guide is why Elytra matters for crossing the map, and why handing one over is a player trade, not a silent balance credit like money.

DonutSMP is not a 200-block tutorial island. Spawn, shops, claims, events, and whatever fight you walked into last night are spread across a world that expects you to travel. Walking is honest. It is also how you spend an evening commuting instead of playing. An Elytra is the item that turns that commute into a glide. Rockets or the server’s flight rules do the rest. Once you have worn one, going back to the ground feels like playing a different game.
That is why Elytra shows up in almost every “what should I get first” conversation. It is not a flex skin. It is infrastructure. Player shops that would take ten minutes on foot become a short hop. You show up to a group event instead of arriving after it ended. You rotate in a fight instead of sprinting in a straight line. Money buys you listings and gear. An Elytra buys you time on the clock you actually have after school or work.
Farming one in the End is the vanilla path: find a ship, hope the item is there, die a few times, portal home. On a busy SMP that loop competes with everything else you logged in to do. Some players enjoy it. Others would rather buy one from a player with money they already have, and spend the session flying. Both work: the End costs time, a player trade costs money.

DonutSMP money is a number on an account: /pay moves it to another player without anyone standing next to you. An Elytra is an item in an inventory. Plugins do not “/pay” an Elytra. Unless you buy it from an Auction House listing, the seller has to hand it over and you have to be there to take it: a direct deal is a meetup, not a transfer.
Plan for that. Agree the price in money first, meet somewhere you both chose, and look at the item before any money moves: durability, and enchantments such as Unbreaking and Mending. A seller who insists you pay first and then goes quiet is the most common item scam on any SMP.
If a website offers to sell you a DonutSMP Elytra for dollars, that is a real-money item trade, with the same server-rule risk as buying money. DonutSMP Exchange does not sell Elytra. We sell DonutSMP money only.

An Elytra has no fixed price on DonutSMP. Players set it on the Auction House and in direct trades, and it moves with supply. Search /ah before you agree a number, compare a few listings, and do not take the first price a stranger DMs you.
This guide is the “why it matters / why it is a trade” layer. If you need the money for the trade, the shop is DonutSMP money.
Short on money for the deal? That is the one part DonutSMP Exchange covers: currency sent to your IGN, usually within minutes after payment. How that works is on how delivery works.
A lot of players want flight and cash in the same evening. Money is what you trade a player for the Elytra. On DonutSMP Exchange it is $0.10 per 1M from 30M, down to $0.07 per 1M at 1B, sent to your IGN usually within minutes after payment.
Worldwide checkout is the same USD page. Your bank may still convert. We do not claim the server allows real-money trading: that call stays yours after you read the rules.
Loot one in the End or buy one from a player. If the money is the missing part, the shop is one click: 30M for $3, 100M for $10, 1B for $70.
DonutSMP Exchange is an independent storefront. We are not affiliated with Mojang Studios, Microsoft, or the DonutSMP server. We do not claim that buying here complies with DonutSMP rules or that real-money trading is allowed. You decide whether to buy. We handle payment, delivery, and support.
