DonutSMP is a massive Minecraft survival server: Java and Bedrock on the same world - built around open-world PvP, raiding, and a player-driven Money economy. This page is the plain-English overview before you dig into join steps, commands, or checkout on DonutSMP Exchange.
The short version
Connect to donutsmp.net (Bedrock also uses that host with port 19132). You land in a survival world that is not a quiet claim-protection utopia: bases get found, fights happen, and progress often depends on how much Money you can move through the Auction House, the orders market, and player trades.
Money is the main currency players use with each other. Shards are a separate track used for certain server systems (historically including spawners via the in-game shop). The economy is large and noisy: which is why searches for “buy DonutSMP money” sit next to searches for “how to join DonutSMP.”
What players actually do
Early hours look familiar: RTP out of spawn, gather, set a home, hide a starter stash. Mid-game is economy: list on /ah, fill /orders, sell surplus, buy gear, and protect whatever you build. Flight (Elytra) and netherite gear are mobility and durability upgrades that change how far you can farm and fight.
