DonutSMP elytra market (Nov 6, 2026): AH asks near 697M, buy orders at 605M — check the spread before you flip
On November 6, 2026, there is no brand-new official DonutSMP economy patch we can verify from public sources. Today's desk note is a fresh elytra market check from the public DonutStats price page — useful because travel gear still sits near the top of many players' shopping lists after spawn removal, and because order-to-auction flips only work when the live spread is in your favor.

Cheapest AH asks on that page clustered around 689M–698M, with outlier listings much higher (including a 1B and a 12B ask). Best open buy orders stepped down from 605M to the mid-500Ms and below. Those figures are what the public tracker showed at read time — open /ah and /orders in-game before you commit.
How to read ask vs buy order (without inventing a flip)
Two different numbers get mixed up:
- Auction House ask: what a seller wants when they list on
/ah. The cheapest listing is the lowest ask you can buy into right now. - Buy order: what a buyer is willing to pay on
/orders. The best buy order is the highest payout a seller can take by filling that order.
A large ask − buy-order gap (about 92M on this check) means the two venues are not sitting on top of each other. That does not automatically equal free profit. Order-to-AH flipping only works if you can acquire an elytra at a cost below the price you can actually sell it for after fees, competition, and wait time — and only if someone fills your side of the trade. Clip guides that showed small elytra or dragon-head spreads months ago do not override today's board.
Practical check before you flip:
- Note the top of
/ordersand the cheapest/ahask for the same enchant pattern you care about (Mending / Unbreaking matter). - Subtract any tax, listing cost, and the risk that the ask moves while you wait.
- If the gap is thin, skip the flip and just buy the travel piece you need — or sell into the best live buy order if you already have stock.
- Re-open both menus right before you click. A morning snapshot is not a live fill.

What this means for players today
- Buyers who just need flight: compare the cheapest trustworthy
/ahask (about 689M on this public check) against grinding End runs. Elytra still beats spam-/rtpfor long trips after spawn removal — see the October travel note. - Would-be flippers: the ~92M headline spread is a warning to do the math, not a green light. Eight listings and eighty-plus buy orders means competition on both sides.
- Sellers with spare elytra: filling a high buy order can be faster than waiting on an AH ask if you need liquidity now; listing above the current ask cluster may sit.
- Everyone: treat public trackers as helpers. Live menus win. If you top up balance for a purchase, keep delivery and rates in mind on our shop — this note is not a rush pitch.
