On October 14, 2026, there is no brand-new official DonutSMP patch note we can verify from public sources. Today’s desk note is a travel tip: after spawn left, random teleport is still a start command inside a dense ring, not a free ticket to the far rim. Crossing the outer map still means Elytra, boat, or foot.
We are not official DonutSMP staff. This is a dated note built from the public Elytra guide on this site (updated Sep 25, 2026), the September RTP-vs-border note, the October 11 public AH tracker snapshot, and the October 3 trading checklist. It is not a reprint of the September 18 hard-assets wealth article.

The spawn plaza is gone. A join still dumps into wilderness. The start loop is /rtp, then a stash and /sethome — not a hub you can camp. That loop is on how players start after spawn removal and the first-hour starter checklist. The evergreen spawn page is /guides/donutsmp-spawn.
The map is large. Useful spots are spread out. Walking is honest. It is also how a session turns into a commute. The public Elytra guide (Item guide · Updated Sep 25, 2026) puts the same point in one line: an Elytra turns that commute into a glide. Rockets, or the server’s flight rules, do the rest. Boat and foot still reach outer land. They just take longer. Flight is the tool that beats spamming /rtp when the place you want is past the ring.
/rtp does not sample out to the world border. The September 6 desk note is the public reference: the command rolls a landing inside a configured ring around world center (0, 0). Spamming RTP will not drop you on the rim. Outer land is travel-only.
Border expansion remains announced-not-live. The October 12 status check still has the public wiki listing World Border Expansion as Upcoming, date TBA. This page does not invent a launch date. A bigger wall, if it ever lands, does not by itself turn /rtp into a rim ticket.

The public guide names two paths. Neither one is a staff shop tab, and neither one has a fixed October 14 price on this page.
| Path | Cost | Desk note |
|---|---|---|
| End ship (vanilla) | Time / risk | Find an End city ship, hope the item is there, portal home. That loop competes with the rest of your session. |
| Player trade or /ah | In-game Money | Buy from an Auction House listing or meet for a direct handoff. The price is set by players. |
Money is a /pay number. An Elytra is an inventory item. Plugins do not /pay an Elytra. Unless you buy from an Auction House listing, a direct deal is a meetup: the seller hands the item over, and you have to be there to take it. How listings work is on the Auction House guide.
That is also why an Elytra is a hard asset, not a /bal line. The September 18 note already covers net worth versus liquid Money. This page does not reprint it. The point today is travel: you wear the item, or you walk.

The checklist below is the public Elytra guide plus the October 3 trading checklist: confirm the item before you accept. Enchantments, durability, and a custom name change what you are buying. This page does not invent a live price table for October 14.
| Step | Action | Desk note |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Prefer /ah first | A listing shows a going ask, and buying from it does not require a stranger meetup. |
| 2 | Agree the price before anyone moves | Settle the number in in-game Money first. Compare it with other /ah listings before you commit. |
| 3 | Meet safely if the deal is direct | Pick the spot yourself. Be careful with TPA from strangers. See TPA traps (Sep 19). |
| 4 | Inspect the item before you pay | Check durability, Unbreaking, Mending, and custom names. A different name or a worn pair is a different item. |
| 5 | Pay only after the item looks right | A seller who demands pay-first and then goes quiet is the common scam pattern. |
| 6 | Treat tracker tags as examples, not a guarantee | The Oct 11 public donut.auction snapshot tagged elytra at $368,724,428 (about $369M) as a tracker example, not a promised trade. Recheck live /ah. |
The evergreen Elytra guide still states DonutSMP Exchange does not sell Elytra. Exchange sells DonutSMP money only, and only when sales are open. Sales are paused on this site. Players set Elytra prices on /ah and in direct trades. Do not take the first number a stranger DMs you.
