DonutSMP week in review (Oct 10, 2026): Halloween drops, farm meta, border still TBA
On October 10, 2026, there is no brand-new official DonutSMP patch note we can verify from public sources. This page is a week digest of what this desk already published from Oct 4 through Oct 9: Halloween pumpkin-head mob drops, a farm-meta check after /shop left, a flood-tracker status note, and the usual border-still-TBA line.
We are not official DonutSMP staff. Links below go to our own dated notes and to public wiki / tracker sources named in those notes. The previous digest on this hub was Oct 4.
What landed this week
None of these lines is a new Oct 10 patch note. Each one points at a note this desk already published.
- Halloween pumpkin-head mobs (Oct 8). Public clips covered pumpkin-headed zombies and skeletons with diamond / iron / coal / pumpkin drop talk. Full desk note: /news/donutsmp-halloween-pumpkin-mobs-oct-8. Treat creator farm-hour claims as single runs, not a staff rate card.
Mood illustration of pumpkin-headed zombies and skeletons, with diamonds, iron, coal and pumpkins on the grass. Not a live screenshot and not official staff media. - Farm meta after /shop (Oct 9). Public YouTube OP-farm tests still highlight kelp, ender pearls, and bone-block crafters selling into /orders, /ah, or /sell. Full note: /news/donutsmp-farm-meta-oct-9. Short creator runs are not guaranteed rates.
Mood illustration of a floating crop island with kelp, bamboo, hoppers and chests. Not a live screenshot and not official staff media. - Flood tracker (Oct 7). Last daily public progress day on api.donut.auction was still 2026-09-30: about 55.06% of RTPs near water, about 2.73% area flooded; EU Central worst in the regional rollup. No newer daily progress day as of this Oct 10 check. Full note: /news/donutsmp-flood-tracker-oct-7. Source: public api.donut.auction/v1/floods/progress?dimension=overworld and /statistics.
- Border expansion. Still announced-not-live. Public wiki (donutsmp.wiki/world-border-expansion, last updated Sep 7, 2026) and our Sep 12 status note: no confirmed launch date or final size. Flooding does not unlock or speed the border. See /news/donutsmp-border-expansion-status-sep-12 and /news/does-flooding-expand-the-donutsmp-border.
- Utility explainers earlier in the week. Trading checklist (Oct 3), price check (Oct 5), account security (Oct 6), how to join (Oct 2), flipping (Oct 1). Those pages already cover the steps. This digest only points at them.
Player checklist for this weekend
- If you are grinding mobs, recheck drops while pumpkin-head mobs are in the public conversation (Oct 8 note).
- If you are printing crops or pearls, measure a timed run into /sell, /orders, or /ah before you scale (Oct 9 note and the wiki farm-profit-planning page).
- Hide coords and split storage while AFK (base security, Sep 26).
- Do not plan a trip around an unconfirmed border date.
What we are not claiming
- No new official patch note on Oct 10, 2026 that we can verify from public sources.
- No live AH price table.
- No fresh flood daily scan after Sep 30 in the public progress API as of this morning’s check.
- Border still TBA.
