On October 12, 2026, there is no brand-new official DonutSMP patch note we can verify from public sources. Today’s desk note is a mid-October border expansion status check — one month after our September 12 status page. The public community wiki still treats World Border Expansion as upcoming with date TBA. We are not announcing a live expand.
We are not official DonutSMP staff. This is a fresh dated check of the same public wiki page, not a reprint of the September note and not a launch claim.

The public wiki page donutsmp.wiki/world-border-expansion (last updated Sep 7, 2026) still lists the change as type Planned world change, status Upcoming, date unconfirmed / TBA.
We cannot verify an official announcement in public sources that a vanilla-size border went live between September 12 and October 12, 2026. Today is a status check, not a ship date.
Prior desk notes and public clips often discuss a vanilla Minecraft border scale (~±30,000,000) in the Overworld, Nether, and End. Treat that as the discussed goal. It is not a confirmed live size, and it is not a confirmed ship date. The wiki itself says an exact release date and final dimensions should not be stated without a verifiable official announcement.
The same wiki page summarizes the June 2026 development notes. They confirm intent. They do not give an exact release date, a final border size, or a rollout schedule.
That is development intent on the public wiki. It is not a calendar.
Join still lands in wilderness. Spawn is still removed. The start loop is still /rtp, stash, /sethome. See the September 11 starter checklist and the September 6 note on how players start after spawn removal.
/rtp is still a configured dense ring around world center, not a tour to the far border. Background: can you RTP to the world border? (Sep 6).
Money still moves on /ah, /orders, and /sell. Shards are still playtime currency — 1 shard every 10 minutes in prior public framing. See shards explained.
Flooding still does not unlock or speed the border. Does flooding expand the DonutSMP border? Owner says no.
The newest public daily progress day on api.donut.auction is still September 30 — about 55% flooded RTP and about 2.73% area in our October 7 flood tracker note. The October 1–12 window shows 0 completed scans on the public statistics API when filtered to that range (statistics from 2026-10-01 through 2026-10-13, which covers October 1–12). The tracker has not published a newer daily progress day. This page does not invent a new flood percent.
Other October desk notes did not change the border. Halloween pumpkin-head drops remain the October 8 story. Farm meta is the October 9 note. The Auction House snapshot is the October 11 note.

When prior public notes talk about a vanilla-size expand, they name all three dimensions: Overworld, Nether, and End. That is still the discussed goal on October 12. It is not a live size in any of those dimensions, and a Nether portal on this page is mood art, not a screenshot of a new border.
